Fun & Creativity

Art
Materials such as; paint, glue, crayons, markers, assorted paper, embellishments, stencils, play dough, and chalk are available for children to use daily.

Music
A variety of music types are available in all the activity rooms. Large group time is part of our daily routine. Large group time is music and dance time. Children have available drums, shakers, cymbals, tambourines, and other musical instruments. Also available are instruments from a variety of cultures

Sensory Exploration
Children can engage in exploring through their senses. They can touch textured items and feel soft or hard items. They can use their other senses to identify a visually stimulating environment.

Language
Language development in our program takes many forms. Children are exposed to reading, writing, environmental print, books, writing materials, songs, poems, story boards, felt story boards and more.
Creating a language rich environment is the beginning to communication and eventually reading.


Mathematics
Our math practices include: counting, sorting, shape recognition, geometry, algebra, number recognition, comparison, size, weight and more. Children engage in small group for a teacher led activity or can explore math concepts on their own.


Outside Play
Outside time and gross motor time is essential to child development. Children are outside two times a day. While outside they can explore climbers, sandboxes, games, and more.
A variety of activities are available for the children to engage in such as; climbing, kicking a ball. rolling down a hill, water play, blowing bubbles and more.
